  • Designing the chairs and coffee table for this project was a straightforward process, as we were making slight modifications to the Patagonia store staples.

    The most exciting and challenging part of this project came when we were given the task of repurposing old pine beams that had been removed from the building’s ceiling. When asked if we wanted to incorporate this reclaimed wood into the project, we jumped at the opportunity. We salvaged and milled the reclaimed pine. We used the classic mortise and tenon joint to gain inspiration for the design of the bench, and we chose to preserve the decades of patina on the surface of the wood, so that we can always remember where these benches came from.
